Several years ago I went to the Nashville Banner and suggested a genealogy query column, with me supplying the questions for the column until it could generate enough interest from readers. The paper decided to publish the column and put writer David Logsdon as the editor of it.
I did supply all of the first questions on family history and for some time, that continued until the newspaper began to get enough interest from the reading public to be able to make up several questions for each week’s edition of the column.
Once the column had been published for a year, I was invited to write some genealogy articles to be published in the Nashville Banner. The following two photos are of the articles I wrote which were published in the Nashville Banner, ‘Neighbors’ edition, which went out to all of the Middle Tennessee area which the Banner served.
