I’m gettin’ it down with the Browns, where the burgers are legendary at this hip hang, celebrated by some of the coolest songwriters and artists in the business. A few years ago, I was playing a real nice place, nice table clothes, linen napkins, real silverware….a nice place. While I was on my break I was sitting with some friends when a young couple came in and were seated near our table. You could tell from the time these two came in that they were having an animated, heated… whispered…argument. Everyone in the place was trying to act like they didn’t notice what was happening…while at the same time trying to listen to what this couple was arguing over…. after a few minutes of this, the young lady sat back in her chair and says to her gentleman friend…Would it kill you to love me? That hit me like a ton of bricks. I jotted a couple of quick notes down before I had to get back up to play. I finished writing this one while traveling later that night…me and Old Gray.
